The Berner-Garde Foundation is a health database for all Bernese Mountain Dogs. Its main goal is to collect as much information about BMD's globally, in the hopes of minimizing genetic disease in the breed. Currently the average life-span of Berners is 7-8 years; the Berner-Garde Foundation strives to one day achieve an average lifespan of 12-14 years.Everyone who owns a Bernese Mountain Dog can help.
